Salatiga, Monday, October 13, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (FEB UKSW), successfully held a guest lecture open to students from the International Human Resource Management class and the 50th cohort of the Master of Management program.
The guest lecture, titled “International Training Development and Career,” featured Drs. Aryono Bambang Ardhyo, Director of PT Kievit Indonesia, and Prof. Ir. Lieli Suharti, M.M., Ph.D. The session took place offline in the FEB UKSW Meeting Room.

During the International Training Development and Career session, Drs. Aryono explained that employee training and development serve as strategic tools to improve business outcomes through the implementation of online learning programs that enhance employee advancement and retention. He highlighted that in the real world of work, 40% of people tend to ignore, 22% focus on weaknesses, and the rest focus on their strengths. Therefore, it is crucial to develop self-awareness and invest in one’s talents so that those talents become personal strengths.
Drs. Aryono emphasized, “The working world is tough, but if you can make someone who is disengaged become involved, that is an achievement.” He also stressed the importance of having a growth mindset—focusing on the process rather than solely on the results.

He outlined several stages in the learning journey: I see and I forget, I see and I believe, I do and I understand, I take care and I improve, and finally, I master and I innovate. These stages build a growth-oriented mindset that views challenges as opportunities, embraces constructive feedback, focuses on progress, draws inspiration from others’ success, learns and grows from failure, steps out of the comfort zone, and believes that talent can always be developed.
As he stated, “A growth mindset turns failure into an opportunity to grow.”
During the session, several participants asked questions about personal development and global leadership. The event concluded with a documentation session and the presentation of a plaque to Drs. Aryono. It is hoped that this guest lecture will provide valuable insights into international approaches to employee training, development, and career advancement.
